The process took longer than I had expected, I was moved from person to person a couple of times, and I had to take initiative to get the process back on track several times. It would be much better to have one person track with you through the whole process. The process that I was told would take about a month took two months plus. In Oct. 2012 I paid $420 for my appraisal for the refinance of my home. My loan officer kept in touch with me up until January (which seemed like a very long time for a basic refinance) and then communication stopped completely. I have never heard ANYTHING ever again.
